The Micro5 XL has been developed for demanding applications in medical technology, precision engineering, mechanical engineering, electronics, and mold and tool making. With this model, the CHIRON Group is scaling up the successful Micro5 concept and opening up significantly broader applications in advanced industries and new markets.
The machine is designed to machine complex geometries in a wide range of materials with maximum dynamics, very high precision, and short cycle times. The Micro5 XL combines the accuracy of micro machining with performance that meets industrial production requirements.
XL format with maximum flexibility
Micro5 XL represents a new dimension in micro machining. The extended stroke length, significantly higher cutting performance, and high flexibility make the machine suitable for both small series and more varied production.
Here too, the number 5 stands for the optimal ratio between milling center and workpiece. With a machine size of approximately 600 mm and a machining cube of up to 120 mm, an exceptional balance between compact design and production capacity is achieved.
Resource-efficient and ready for production
Micro5 XL has been developed with a strong focus on resource efficiency. It combines low energy consumption with a very compact footprint of only 1.7 m² including peripheral equipment. The tower magazine can hold up to 100 tools, and the machine can be equipped with all necessary peripheral equipment and optional automation without compromising accessibility or ergonomics.
