HELITRONIC MICRO with C.O.R.E. technology is an advanced tool grinding machine developed for the production and regrinding of rotationally symmetrical tools and production parts in smaller dimensions. The machine is especially adapted for precision machining of small tools where high demands are placed on accuracy, stability and repeatability.
In production, HELITRONIC MICRO can handle tool diameters from 0.1 mm and in regrinding from 3 mm. The maximum diameter is 12.7 mm, the tool length is 220 mm and the maximum piece weight is 12 kg. This makes the machine a strong option for manufacturing and machining very small and precise tools.
The machine is built with a machine bed in mineral castings, specially developed for this type of application. The design provides very good vibration damping, low temperature sensitivity, high dynamics in the drive systems and thus very high grinding precision.
HELITRONIC MICRO can also be equipped with Laser Contour Check, an innovative and intelligent measuring system integrated directly into the tool grinding and erosion machine. The system enables highly accurate, non-contact measurement of various tool parameters on cylindrical tools and strengthens both quality control and process reliability.
All five CNC axes are equipped with linear drives or torque motors and controlled via integrated high-resolution measuring systems. This provides precise movements combined with high dynamics, which is crucial when machining small and complex tool geometries.
HELITRONIC MICRO also features a machine-integrated 6-axis robotic loader that minimizes loading times and provides a capacity of up to 1,500 tools. This contributes to efficient and automated production even at higher volumes.
The fast-rotating workpiece axis A, with up to 3,000 revolutions per minute, gives the machine very good possibilities for precise profile grinding, especially when machining step tools and other advanced geometries.
The machine is also equipped with three motor spindles for up to 12 grinding wheels, providing great flexibility of use. Motor spindle 1 has a spindle power of 6.5 kW and is intended for groove grinding, while motor spindles 2 and 3 have a spindle power of 4.3 kW each for geometry and profile grinding.
