HELITRONIC RAPTOR DIAMOND from WALTER is a cost-effective and high-performance entry-level model in tool EDM. The machine is designed to erode PCD and CBN tools as well as grind HSS and carbide tools in one clamping.
Thanks to its compact design, the HELITRONIC RAPTOR DIAMOND fits even in production environments where floor space is limited, without compromising on capacity. The machine can process tools with diameters from 3 to 400 mm, tool length up to 270 mm for end machining and workpieces weighing up to 50 kg.
Stable construction for high surface finish
The machine is built according to WALTER's well-proven cast iron gantry design, which provides very good damping and stability during machining. The result is high precision and optimal tool surfaces even in demanding eroding and grinding operations.
Fast and accurate linear axes
HELITRONIC RAPTOR DIAMOND is equipped with three linear axes, X, Y and Z, with ball screw. The axes have a maximum travel speed of 15 m/min, which contributes to efficient processing and short cycle times.
Belt-driven spindle with high flexibility
The machine has a HSK belt-driven spindle with two spindle ends. It can be equipped with up to three electrodes and three grinding wheels, or up to six grinding wheels. This provides high flexibility when machining different tool types and materials.
Fine Pulse Technology for stable erosion
With the latest erosion technology, Fine Pulse Technology, the machine offers a stable and fast eroding process. The technology contributes to a very fine surface finish and minimizes chipping, which is particularly important when machining PCD and CBN tools.
