Whether precision, profile, internal or external cylindrical grinding – the PROFIMAT MC is a highly efficient grinding center for all applications. This extremely compact machine with a movable column offers everything that modern production solutions require, with a machine width of only 2000 mm. Different spindle variants enable versatile applications: The series of five-axis CNC profile grinding machines can be optionally equipped with a horizontal spindle for drive outputs of up to 60 kW and a stationary or NC-swiveling vertical spindle with spindle speeds of up to 60,000 rpm.
With a maximum cutting speed (peripheral speed) of 170 m/s, machines with a moving column are suitable for both conventional grinding tasks and for CD, IPD, and all CBN methods. Equipped with the relevant accessories—such as automatic tool change—the PROFIMAT MC is also suitable for combined machining.
With the help of Siemens' professional CNC control system Sinumerik 840D, virtually any grinding task is possible.
