Multi-operation machines
Our multi-operation machines
Multi-operation machines compared to traditional machines
Multi-tasking machines, such as the GROB series of 5-axis machines, offer several unique advantages over traditional milling machines and lathes. With these machines, multiple machining steps can be performed in a single setup. This leads to reduced setup costs and shorter cycle times. In addition, significantly higher precision is achieved because the risk of measurement deviations between setups is eliminated. GROB multi-tasking machines combine milling and turning so that machining can be carried out as efficiently and accurately as possible.
GROB multi-operation machines: G350T, G550T, and G750T
One of the biggest advantages of GROB multi-tasking machines is the ability to machine workpieces in a single setup. Below is an overview of the three models available:
G350T
This compact model is ideal for smaller parts requiring high precision. With a working range of 600/855/750 mm for the X/Y/Z axes and a table load capacity of up to 350 kg, the G350T is perfect for accurate machining of small parts.
G550T
For medium to large workpieces, the G550T offers a larger working area of 800/1,020/970 mm. With a maximum table load of 750 kg without pallet, this model is designed for efficient machining while maintaining accuracy.
G750T
When large workpieces need to be machined with high stability, the G750T is the obvious choice. With a working area of 1,000/1,100/1,175 mm and a table load capacity of up to 1,500 kg without a pallet, this machine is built for heavy and complex applications.
All these models are equipped with GROB's unique tunnel concept, which enables the machining of large components without the risk of collision. The horizontal spindle position also contributes to optimal chip removal and maximum movement in the Z-axis.
Why are multi-operation machines a good investment?
In addition to the obvious advantages of increased efficiency and improved precision, multi-operation machines can contribute to significant cost savings over time. By reducing setup times, minimizing measurement deviations, and combining several steps in a single machine, a production solution is created that is both cost-effective and high-performing.
