Johan Nordström Verktygsmaskiner AB, in business since 1955, is the general agent for world-leading manufacturers of high-quality technical products in the machine tool industry, primarily from Germany, Switzerland, and Japan. The company mainly represents manufacturers in the field of chip-removing machine tools, such as lathes, milling machines, grinding machines, and multi-operation machines.

History

  • 1955. Johan Nordström founds the company. Since its inception, the company has been trading in chip-cutting machine tools.
  • 1964. The company moves to Stockholm's ”new city” at Sergels Torg.
  • 1980. Generational change to Lars-Göran Nordström and Lars Ingelson.
  • 1984. The company moves to its own premises in Sollentuna.
  • 1989. Lars-Göran Nordström sells his share to Lars Ingelson.
  • 2000. Founding of sister company TechPoint for trading in tools and accessories for machine tools.
  • 2014. Peter Öfverstedt takes over as CEO from Lars Ingelson, who remains as Chairman of the Board and owner.
