UNIVERTOR AE series

UNIVERTOR AE

The UNIVERTOR AE is a modular post-processing machine with WEISSER Pick-up system for parallel processing of a part. The movable base carrier is equipped with robust centric clamps that pick up shaft-shaped workpieces. Since the machine loads itself, no external robots or gantry solutions are needed.

Economical cutting to length and centering in the UNIVERTOR AE provides precise take-up for the next process step in a complete machining operation. The design with robust disk turrets or crown turrets allows spindling, milling, drilling and deep drilling at the axis ends using driven tools.

Design advantages - UNIVERTOR AE

  • Left and right versions available
  • End machining of shaft-shaped components (milling, sawing, centering, drilling)
  • Simple automation where only pallet straps are needed
  • Patented pick-up principle adapted for end machining of shafts
  • Machine column with very good stiffness and optimized damping (including through residual molding sand in the mold)
  • High accuracy class linear guides with preload in all axes
  • Direct length measurement systems possible in all axes (glass scales)
  • High dynamics in all machining axes
  • Optimized downward chip fall

Optional - UNIVERTOR AE

  • Two HSK 63/80 machining spindles per machining side
  • 6-station crown revolver HSK 63 per page
  • 8-station disc roller HSK 63/80 per side
  • 12-station disc roller HSK 63 per page
  • Central drive spindle option instead of fixed centric clamping

UNIVERTOR AE-T

The UNIVERTOR AE-T is a modular finishing machine with WEISSER Pick-up system as twin design, developed for parallel machining of two workpieces. The combination of a fixed and a movable disk or crown turret, together with the movable mounting slide for the central clamping device, allows simultaneous machining of both axis ends. Again, no external robots or gantry solutions are needed, as the machine loads itself.

Design advantages - UNIVERTOR AE-T

  • End machining of shaft-shaped components (milling, sawing, centering, drilling)
  • Synchronous machining of two workpieces for optimized unit cost
  • Simple automation where only pallet straps are needed
  • Patented pick-up principle adapted for end machining of shafts
  • Machine column with very good stiffness and optimized damping (residual molding sand in the mold)
  • High accuracy class linear guides with preload in all axes
  • Direct length measurement systems possible in all axes (glass scales)
  • High dynamics in all axes
  • Optimized downward chip fall
