Version with one or two spindles (AM-1 / AM-2)
UNIVERTOR AM are modularly designed vertical precision lathes with high flexibility, especially suited for complete machining of varying batch sizes with low unit cost. By combining several processes in the same work area, such as rotary turning, hard turning, grinding, drilling and milling, high part quality, good contour accuracy and fine surface finish are achieved.
At the same time, set-up time, programming time and other non-productive times can be significantly reduced. With up to two powerful disk drives, the machine enables highly productive simultaneous machining and smart process engineering.
Design advantages - UNIVERTOR AM-1 / AM-2
- Left and right versions available
- Machine base with very good stiffness and optimized damping (including through residual molding sand in the mold)
- High accuracy class linear guides with preload in all axes
- Linear guides and feed drives located outside the working area for protection against chips
- Direct length measurement systems in all machining axes (glass scales)
- High dynamics in all machine axes
- Optimized downward chip fall
- Self-made lathe spindles with very good concentricity and axial precision
- Easy spindle assembly and disassembly when servicing or repairing
- Main spindle A8 or A11 according to DIN 55026
- Tool turret with VDI or Capto interface
Optional - AM-1 / AM-2
- Integrated measuring probe
- Powered tools (for example for drilling)
- 4-axis machining (via additional turret on cross slide unit)
- Extra internal grinding unit
- Extra external grinding unit
- Combined turning and grinding in minimal space
- Extra drilling unit
- Additional Y-A axis unit with milling spindle for gear machining, for example
- AM-2: simultaneous or sequential machining possible (including the possibility of turning the workpieces)
- AM-2: several automation variants possible
AM-T version
In the working area of the UNIVERTOR AM-T, with vertical spindle slide construction and multi-function slide, the workpieces are cycled through the machine according to the transfer principle. The transfer takes place directly from the hanging pick-up spindle to the standing vertical counter spindle.
Additional turrets, drilling units or multi-function slides mounted on the dedicated column module provide a wide range of machining possibilities. This allows subsequent operations to be carried out in a single working area with greatly reduced set-up times and with very high transfer precision between clamps. This results in stably tight forming and positioning tolerances on the parts.
Design advantages - UNIVERTOR AM-T
- Two-spindle construction with pick-up spindle and vertically positioned counter spindle
- Flow of details from left to right or vice versa
- Machine column with very good stiffness and optimized damping (residual molding sand in the mold)
- High accuracy class linear guides with preload in all axes
- Guides and feed drives located outside the work area for protection against chips
- Direct length measurement systems in all machining axes (glass scales)
- High dynamics in all axes
- Optimized downward chip fall
- Self-made lathe spindles with very good concentricity and axial precision
Optional - AM-T
- Integrated measuring probe
- Powered tools (for example for drilling)
- Extra drilling unit
- NC liftable tool holder system
