UNIVERTOR V series

Next generation turning center

The UNIVERTOR V is designed to deliver strong machining capabilities for a wide range of parts, with high productivity, stable accuracy over time and very fine surface finish. Compared to many other machines in the same category, UNIVERTOR V excels with both high performance and very good precision.

Thanks to the high machine stability, the series is particularly suitable for hard turning. Short cycle times result in high volumes and good economy in series production. WEISSER therefore combines application-specific machining processes with the well-known WEISSER pick-up system and customized automation solutions to create a complete, process-safe system solution.

Design advantages - UNIVERTOR V

  • Left and right versions possible
  • Machine columns with very good stiffness and optimized damping (achieved, among other things, by residual molding sand in the mold)
  • Linear guides in all axes, dimensioned in high accuracy class and with bias
  • Linear guides and feed drives located outside the working area for protection against chips
  • Direct length measurement systems in all machining axes
  • High dynamics in all machine axes
  • Optimized downward chip fall
  • Self-made lathe spindles with very good concentricity and axial precision
  • Easy assembly and disassembly of the lathe spindle when servicing or repairing
  • Main spindle A6 or A8 according to DIN 55026
  • Tool turret with VDI or BMT interface
  • Simplified chuck replacement thanks to large opening to the working area and defined position for chuck change assistance
  • Shorter turnaround time via modular system
  • Large working area and long stroke lengths in compact machine form
  • Very good adjustability and short setting times thanks to good accessibility, storage possibilities and compact axle geometry combined with improved axle acceleration
  • Extra storage space for tools and accessories directly on the machine

Optional - UNIVERTOR V

  • Integrated measuring probe
  • Powered tools (for example for drilling)
  • 4-axis machining (via additional turret on the cross slide unit)
  • Extra internal grinding unit
  • Extra external grinding unit
  • Combination of turning and grinding on minimal surface
